Re: A Grasmere Wander

Good to log back in and see your super photos again, it has been a few years since I ticked off silver Howe but do remember the great views it offered to the Langdale Pikes. Lovely photos as always.

Re: Last weeks Plan B is this weeks Plan A...(Pressendye)

Looks a great walk but I just love the photos of your dogs! They look to be having a great time enjoying themselves.

Re: East Lomond & Maspie Den

I always enjoy a wander round Maspie Den but have never walked from Falkland. The Lomond hills give nice views of a classic Fife landscape.

Re: Two Weeks of North-Western Heaven (again)

What a beautiful set of photos as usual, particularly like the shot of Neist point, lovely colours and lighting.

Re: Walking with dogs above the eagles on Tianavaig

What a great looking wee hill and you certainly had great weather for it. This had been on my list when we visited Skye last year... but as always can never squeeze everything in but will certainly keep it in mind for the next time. Strange about the sign, I think it would have put me off heading up...

Re: The Torridon magic

We had a holiday in Torridon in the summer there but unfortunately didn't do any proper hill walking so it is great to see what views from above are on offer and from your photos they look pretty spectacular. I love it when conditions allow to remain at the summit and just enjoy it.

Re: The Hillwalking Cat of Dumgoyne

Well that is certainly something you don't see every day! I would never have thought of a cat as a suitable hill walking companion! It does look cute with its high vis vest on though! This is one of those hills that isn't too far for me but I've never got around to doing, will need to give it a go.

Re: Carn Glas-choire, a Graham near The Nairnshire Challenge

Looking at your photos this one has a sense of remoteness which I always enjoy, always good to sneak in an extra hill walk :)

Re: Tiny knoll with giant views - big reward for minimum eff

You are right, what great views. I often enjoy these smaller hills with views to the bigger ones as they still offer a great day out. Love the inversion too.

Buachaille Etive Beag

Finally, I have got around to visiting the forum again and having something worthwhile to post. I hadn't been out on any of the bigger hills for almost a year, my constant walking companion (my dog) hadn't been right at the end of summer 2015 so all longer walks were put on hold. By spring 2016 she ...

Re: Gairloch and Torridon

Thanks for all the great suggestions everyone, so many more places to add to my list. Really looking forward to this holiday. When I was browsing flickr a small hill at Poolewe came up called Cliff Hill and it looks to have lovely views but I can't see any information at all online for it for a star...

Gairloch and Torridon

I am a little early in posting this but I always like to get preapred in advance. I am heading to Gairloch for a week in August, the initial plan was to split the week in two and spend half of it in Assynt and the other half in Gairloch but that was proving tricky to organise in peak season, perhaps...

Route suggestions

I was just wondering if anyone can help with possible route suggestions for me. I am starting to get itchy feet as I haven't been out as much as I would have liked. I have visited most of the local smaller hills, ochils, east/west lomond, benarty, conic hill, ben a'an. Munros: Ben Vorlich, Ben Lomon...
