Re: knee pain

The video on this thread of stretches is good, it's the IT band gives me trouble and I was given same kind of stretches, they do help me.

I also use ibuprofen gel and ibuprofen tablets on the walk which help a bit.

Hope you find a solution.

I use talky toaster, £16 on a little memory card , seems very good to, all the map features you'd expect on the hills I have done, including lots of paths accurately displayed ,although zooming in and out a moving around the map on the etrex is a bit of a fiddle, most walks I never need to check the...

Re: Garmin 64sx - Maps Help Needed

Another vote for Talky Toaster

Bought micro SD £16 for my garmin etrex, very good loads of detail, shows established paths as well, super easy just put card in, excellent for the money , the talky toaster maps show on base camp too when unit plugged into comp.

Yesterday was coming down from Creag Leacach and noticed lots of crows, investigated and found 3 dead stags in a shallow hollow. Stags appeared recently dead , no obvious gunshot wounds , vehicle tracks , only a little damage from crows. My brother a vet said they had cows killed by lightening strik...

When camping do you go to any good dark sky areas (see the stars ) , near the central belt or in the southern Highlands ?

Thanks

TK Maxx has in cheap Montane Prisms

Hi just in case anybody is interested

I got a Montange Prism in TKmaxx today for £38 , old model in large. It was in TKmaxx east kilbride but also had seen xxls and S in Cork a few weeks ago.

Might be worth a pop in if you are near a TK or phone them and ask first
