Re: Cowal Way in a Day

Well done on that - we exchanged a couple of tweets with you about whether you could get your bike over Coilessan glen and I saw your report on here when I was about to write something about the Duke's path circular. I just walked over the pass today and I would NOT have liked to take a bike over i...

Re: Cowal Way in a Day

Having recently had my first experience of Cowal, I have some idea how tough and wet this would have been   . An impressive effort, and something a bit different 8) Thanks. Bike was handy for the road sections, but somewhat restrictive on the off road section. The ascent out of the Go...

Cowal Way in a Day

The Cowal Way is something that has been on my list of things to do, but just never had the time. In fact I still have a copy of the original book with the shorter route, the addition being the end point is now Inveruglas, Loch Lomond as supposed to Arrochar. Apart from wanting to do this trail,an in...

Re: The Cowal Way in May

Excellent to see some pictures of the Cowal Way. I stay in Dunoon but have yet to tackle this. For some reason I've came up with the idea of doing this in a day. Will be taking my mountain bike to try and get the miles in since there's a bit of public and forestry road involved. Of course there will...

My plan. Cowal High Way (part 1).

Planning on covering a route through Cowal with minimum walking on public paved roads. Whilst this can be done at lower level, I prefer off the beaten track with a bit of elevation for views. Not the easiest of walking in some areas (no defined paths) , underfoot can be of varied terrain. Trying to ...

If anyone's interested the above shop has some kella jackets in stock. Well the one at Glasgow Fort.
The Apollo jacket, small and extra small at £50 and the Spectrum, medium at £60. Worth a look if your near a store. ;)

Re: Creag Tharsuinn from Garvie,Glendaruel,Cowal.

Aye, I was thinking of Parking at Glen Massan and doing the three one day. Beinn Mhor, Beinn Bheag then Tharsuinn. Only thing would be getting off Tharsuinn onto Garrachra glen,it's steep but possible. It'd make a great loop.

Re: Walking companions required in the Cowal / Argyll areas.

A few of us spoke about the two at Cruachan. Just don't have a lot of time for the hills just now. Where abouts in Argyll are you Glendave?

Good to see you both on FB ;)
Cheers.
