Re: New Covid law 26/4/2021

To be clear - we have not deleted any replies or any text from this thread, by you or anyone else, so please do not make false claims otherwise. And saying the movement restrictions have not changed, and that people in Scotland have to remain in their local areas, is clearly false. As is telling Sg...

Re: New Covid law 26/4/2021

Actually, it's not false - the same movement restrictions on level 3 areas still apply. You can confirm that here: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2020/344/schedule/4/2021-04-26 What's changed is that Scotland is now treated as one single Level 3 area so the movement restrictions don't really mak...

Re: New Covid law 26/4/2021

The plan is to move to Level 2 on 17 May so you should be OK for the wedding, start practising your English/Welsh accent just in case we're still level 3 :D

New Covid law 26/4/2021

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2020/344/schedule/4/2021-04-26 Looks like all of Scotland moves to Level 3 from tomorrow. The same restrictions on movement will continue with the reasonable excuse of leaving your area for exercise/recreation provided you do not have an overnight stay. IMPORTANT M...

Re: Help! Stob Ban, Stob Choire Clairigh, Stob Coire an Laoi

I cycled in from Spean Bridge and added another hill, but it might give an idea of timings:

Re: Can we wild camp ?

As above, current law for level 3/4 does not allow overnight stays outside your area (but the police might not consider enforcing this a productive use of their time!). https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2020/344/schedule/5/2021-04-16 (t)undertake exercise or recreation— (i)outdoors, F96(ii). . . . ...

Re: Stay Home --> Stay Local

That's all well and good, but the thing you linked also states "Requirement to close places of worship in a level 4 area to members of the public". We all know that not to be the case Yes, the heading is still there but paragraph 1A below (which required them to close) was taken out last ...

Re: When can we visit Scotland again?

As far as I can understand it, the present expectation is that both self-catering and hotels will open from April 26th. Is that correct? This is from the Govt's timetable: Assuming the data allows it, we expect a more significant reopening of the economy and society from 26 April. This will likely ...

Re: When can we visit Scotland again?

Good point, I haven't read the full strategic framework but the new variable levels system will use WHO indicators instead of the range that was used last year. These are much tighter. who table.png https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-strategic-framework-update-february-2021/pages...

Re: Stay Home --> Stay Local

I think it's the case that we are not specifically banned from going into England, just from leaving Scotland. So when we can leave our LA area we can travel into England. There's a separate part of the law covering the 'common travel area' ie England, Wales, Ireland etc, if this doesn't change on ...

Current law is here, should be updated with future amendments so worth checking as 26 April approaches.
