Cracking weather all weekend. Stayed in the Smiddy, braw digs. Tough day on hill in the sun with a hangover after beers and BBQ night before. Views superb, long walk out not do good.

Kids first Hill walk.

Kids wanted to do a mountain. 7 and 3 both made it from car to car. Bit windy up top but a memorable day.

Grey Corries weekender

Headed up Friday 14th had a camp several beers and fire, awful kip in tent as per then after a relaxed morning headed for corriehallie . Camping trip left linlithgow at 6, with and rory and jura, and kylie and gav. Loch laggan trio

Left Edinburgh half 5. Arrived about half 7 at aberarder. Did not enjoy bogfest on first hill then a straight forward day braw weather decent views the coire was the highlight. Back at car for half 1 home for 4 good socially distant stomp

Bynack More and Barns

Cracking wander. First in a long while and post lockdown restrictions. Left home at 6 walking by 8.10 long way but easy going weather was perfect. Heaving on way back everyone seems to be hitting the hills now.

Pentland wander

First proper lockdown stomp testing the legs for return to the munros. Good round added on west cairn hill for extra distance, bit boggy but good weather and hardly anyone else about

Halfway on Liatach

Hard work from word go after bein eighe previous day. Cracking weather despite some light snow, pinnacles easier than made out and made a chabge from walking. Steep descent a killer. Cracking weekend

Long walk to Dearg

Late start dropped jo and kids in Linlithgow for gala day, arrived blair atholl just before 1 abandoned car in overflowing car park and headed off for long stomp. Easy going along tracks went quickly 3 hours to summit bit less coming down but feet feel like stumps. Not comparable to last months trip...

Mamore double

Braw day on hills, bit windy but cant complain cracking views and not too hard a walk, driving home hardest part of day. Dreading the duo on the east looks like a long day for 2 wee hills.

Went to do all 5 in may 2011 but weather was rancid so soggy and miserable bailed after 3 down past robbers falls.
