Just to advise you that I understand that there has been considerable felling since I did my report and access is now much easier. However, at the time it was fun to go up through the forestry route!

Good to see this pair of hills again and in splendid weather. I totally agree that they are without doubt superb hills but the Mull, Western Isles & Skye Grahams take some beating too!

Having done your route a few weeks ago, I have to agree with you that it's a hell of bike/walk for one Graham!

Thanks for your report which gives a nice insight into both the bike ride in and the ascent of Ben nan Lus. I suspect my bike times may be higher than yours!

Thanks for the info., as I'd been eyeing up that very route for a while and had a hunch it would be wet! I'll give it a go when the next hard frost comes!

That looked a really good day out to me and I particularly liked the shot of Loch Voil. It's a strange route past the "sensitive deer" as you break out over the fences!
