Re: Blisters 1, toe nails 9, teeth one fewer than before!

What a difference a year makes. I'm now planning on walking WHW again, with the new wonderful man in my life! Just re-read my blog and I can't remember the sore feet. I have a lovely new crown on my tooth and a beautiful new nail on my big toe (just! Nails take a long time to grow back). So next Jun...

Re: West Highland Way

Re: Small brown frog

Thanks JTweedie for the link, I think it was not a frog but a common toad as it walked away it didn't jump. I also think Caberfeidh's frogs were, actually, toads too.

Small brown frog

I just know someone on here will have the answer. While on WHW recently, just north of Inversnaid something fell out of a tree in front of me. I first thought it was a leaf but when I looked it was a small brown frog, about 5cm in length. It then crawled into the undergrowth. I didnt have time to ta...

Re: Blisters 1, toe nails 9, teeth one fewer than before!

You literally fought tooth and nail!  Thanks Madasa mongoose, I certainly did! Lovely dentist has given me a temporary crown. The toe nail is slowly coming off and muscles are getting back to normal. And to Westcoasthiker, I agree, Rannoch Moor is a special place but I wouldn't want to d...

Blisters 1, toe nails 9, teeth one fewer than before!

Day 1 Started off from the obelisk in Milngavie with kfrweaving at 9.10am. the start.jpg The beginning of the walk is familiar territory for me as I often walk my dog there. A little drizzle of rain meant we had waterproofs on from the word go, that and the forecast! Met a few other walkers as we ma...
