Conachcraig

Decided to take Wilma's offer and head up to Ballater at her brother's for the weekend. I wasn't feeling very motivated at all but pushed myself to go up. It was nice to have Wilma to encourage me otherwise I don't think I would have reached the summit. It's a very long walk in and it was silly of m...

The road was mobbed with cars at least 15 cars when I got there at 9 think all of them were doing the Munro There is absolutely no way this hill takes on 5.5 hours as the walk description suggests. It took me 3hrs 45 min to Beinn Domhnuill I reckon I would have been at least anoth...

Meall Na Leitreach with Ashley

A wee short day for me and Ashley.

Left the house at 9. Headed off up the hill at about 11. We had 4 seasons in one day typical April walking weather.

Lovely wee stop off at House of Bruar for a wee fish supper and walk round the shops.

Braw day

Club walk Dunbar to Berwick

Club walk Not been on a club walk for.......years, literally....so Jim and I decided to get on the old bus where it all started. Have to be honest it was a shite walk (Jim told me it was going to be a very picturesque walk :? ). My pelvis and hips were killing me with the pace and flat walking. I de...

We were both in good form to do the whole circuit which was nice. Oh, I got very...

Beautiful fresh day. Did feel long and boring though maybe just a bit scunnered with hills or a bit of an anti-climax from my completion :D Was nice to complete a hill and still have time for a wee window shop in Tisso and be home, showered and gaming by 6 :-) Top map is on the way up, bottom map is...

Meall Dearg (Aonach Eagach)

I had forgotten to report for this but found the data on my Suunto and Sports tracker. I think I was with Wilma, or it might have been Jim actually, yeah think it was Jim... My Completion Only took 12 years

Well, what can I say? It's been a journey, a 12-year journey! I could not have asked for a better day. The weather was cracking and everyone I wanted to be there was there bar one... Bowled over with the amount of people who wanted to be with me on my special day. So humbled, I can't explain it!!! I...

BenVane the corbett AND COMPASS FAIL AGAIN

What a day! Me and Jim headed up for what we thought would be a relatively easy day. The weather looked fair...ish. Well, the wind we had had for about a month had disappeared and it looked like we just might miss the wind but visibility was going to be poor. You would think this would look like an ...
