Re: Loch Turret access road

Can't see you having any problems with snow - the car park is at 350m, the snow level in the Southern Highland is around 600m currently, and the weather is due to get warmer over the next couple of days.

Re: An Stuc Scramble

On foot, it is certainly possible to head across from the Meall Garbh/An Stuc col below the steepest ground to gain the NW ridge of An Stuc, and then contour round the W side of An Stuc, but I wouldn't like to say how feasible it is with a bike! There will still be snow up there at the moment.

Yes, a mountain hare. It's the Corbett behind the golf course at Kingussie. Haven't been up there for a while, but it certainly used to be home to lots of hares.

Re: Help in Yorkshire

A few ideas for you:

Cross Fell from Blencarn/Kirkland
Nine Standards Rigg from Kirkby Stephen (may be moderately busy as it is on the C2C).
Calf Top from Barbon
Great Coum from Dent

Re: Valley of a thousand dogs

Good photos! That section is proabably the best bit of the Water of Leith walkway. I think the "Corn Marigolds" are Leopard's Bane, the "white Honesty" is Garlic Mustard, the "Carraway" is probably Cow Parsley (umbellifers are tricky!) and the "Cowwheat" is Tu...

Re: Your favourite golden eagle encounters

A few that spring to mind: Watching a eagle hunting a hare on Carn an Fhreiceadain in winter time. The eagle made several dives, but the hare got away each time and eventually found refuge under a rock. On the ridge between Carn Liath and Stob Poite Coire Ardair in thick clag, an eagle suddenly mate...

Re: Can anyone name this hill?

You are very welcome - hope you have a good trip to recreate the shot!
My best guess is that it is at one of the two places where the path fords branches of the burn at NO011957.

Re: Can anyone name this hill?

I think they are next to the Luibeg Burn, looking up towards Sron Riach (the SE ridge of Ben Macdui).

Re: Bagging Munros During CWT

What is the route like from Sourlies up to Sgurr na Ciche? WH describes it as "the long and wild west ridge". I can work out how long, but how wild? I'm afraid I don't remember much - it is more than 40 years ago that I did it, and the visibility was poor. However, I don't recall any sign...

Re: Name that Corrie!

Thanks Fraser!

This shallow corrie has an anglicised name on the maps:
