On that note, if you're taking the hydrotrack would you still do the circuit counter-clockwise like the walkhighlands route suggests? Most obvious would be to go up the normal (boggy!) route from Inverarnan to Beinn Chabhair, then onto An Caisteal and down the normal (Twisting Hill) route. I would take at least the spikes. The snow will be mainly a thin cover of recent snow, an you probably won't use them, but it is hard to entirely rule out old patches, icy rocks or foot-compressed new snow on paths.

You can trace them on the OS aerial imagery - they actually go most of the way to Carn Liath.
