Great report and with a map like that you could join our MRT if you fancy it? It is in our area and you have done well to get it clag free.I have never seen a view from it and last time i was up it was 2,00am! it really is a beautiful glen and your pic do it justice and i am glad i have never walked up the road because we always get permission to drive it!

Good report Gavin and a change of plan? I have dog trained up the track at Brig o Turk but not done any hills around there to the top.I ended up at the cobbler via narnain whilst Jo did Coriegrogan.What a great day and is winter over?

Morag that is awful and what does this behaviour teach kids who are watching it! I generally feel once you get above the tree line you can leave the idiots behind.Usually people who swear at me on the hill are wrapped up in a stretcher but that is a good sign :D

I took a couple of people up the cobbler last winter and there is a couple of boulders at the top where you can watch people going through the needle.My party had sat on the boulder for lunch and when they stood up a guy walked over and stamped his crampons on the boulder and caught one of the rucks...

Good memories there and when i first moved to Scotland we lived on the Afton Road so did plenty of walking around there.Thanks for posting and i dont remember the posts but do remember the dogs at the farm :(

www.footcaresupplies.com is where i got mine and pretty cheap.Have def made a difference and did 2 corbetts yesterday and a long track walk out and feet ok today,

I have worn manta for several years and also tended to get sore feet and even worse if doing a long walk in/out on tracks.I recently bought a couple of gel filled heel inserts and touch wood my feet have been a lot better.They are a narrow fit so a full insole may make less sense.Despite this always...

Some of the Killin MRT are walking to the memorial today i think including team members who were on the hill that day.A sad day for Scottish MRT and we remember the others who have been killed or injured over the years in helping others on the hill.

In some ways it feels good to be a bit retro at times and i remember the first proper waterproofs and the old framed rucksacks.You sometimes see some of the older guys on the hill with kit they must have had for years and will never change it.My old walking buddy used to to walk with a guy in his 70...
