Fantastic conditions 8) Climbed Ben Wyvis years ago one summers day. That path up makes all the difference! Some effort must go into building those.

Re: An Applecross "quickie" before the apocalypse hit

Interesting report :) Drove over the road long ago, before I began donning the walking boots, so looking forward to exploring these hills in the future!

Very good pictures. Often neglected but Donside is beautiful this time of year especially.

Re: Scrambling heaven around Coire a' Ghreadaidh

Stunning Ranger. Looks absolutly fantastic. Would love to give some of those routes a try some day , but because we normally have both our dogs it will probably be best if they were not with us. Re: Death threat and split pants on Beinn Eighe

I've walked round the base of all three Torridon giants - yet to climb any!

I think this would be a lovely place to start

Thanks for posting :)

Re: Eejit

Is the answer to the whole Mountain Rescue debate extremely easy?

If you're rescued, you pay to cover the costs of the rescue team.

Who seriously would say refuse to cough up some cash for having their life saved?

I said it was a stab in the dark!

Biggish loch, eastern shore, a highish corbett looking hill would be my suspicions. I've had my guess though so will leave it to others. :)
