Lost Samyang wide angle lens for Nikon.

I have no idea where I’ve lost it. One of a dozen Munros I’ve been up over the last 2 months and I never used this lens but it’s gone and I can’t find it.

😒

Re: Stay at home

For avoidance of doubt - and this is the part that many people just do not seem to grasp is that staying local is about preventing the virus from transmitting into NEW areas. A lot of people seem hell bend on manipulating the words to suit themselves. When you go to the local supermarket - evek thou...

Re: Is Ben Nevis too much for a newbie?

It's cold up there still and plenty of snow and ice. You really need crampons and and ice axe to be safe.

Re: Mon 16th June Beinn Narnain, Beinn Ime & Ben Vane

Looking to tuck 3 under the belt this coming Monday, Any tips on routes and views to look for greatly appreciated..... It is a pretty big day but doable if you are fit. When you come up the summit of Vane you end up zig sagging through outcrops which takes you down quite a long way back into the gl...

Re: Bench on Ben Nevis

if someone did remove a bench that was permitted to be there then that would be vandalism and no different than removing one from a park. So you have to ask yourself, what's worse? placing a bench that people can use or forcibly destroying and removing it without permission to do so? Once you have ...

Re: Bench on Ben Nevis

A year or two ago the memorial bench on the way up the Cobbler was removed for repair / renovation. I remember a lot of hillwalkers being annoyed as they thought its removal was permanent. It seems that benches are OK on some hills but not on others. I'll answer this as you have done enough leg wor...

Re: Avalance Forecasts.

Glen Coe forecast has always served me for further South. Generally speaking Arrochar and Crianlarich area will experience similar snowfall and wind direction. The safest slopes are those where the wind has blown the snow away so if the winds are coming from the prevailing direction of south-west - ...
