Re: Where's the picture ? - Scotland (part 3)

Right, no prizes for identifying hills in the background, but from which hill was this taken?

Re: Help in Yorkshire

Hi Davie The Yorkshire Dales is an area where you'll get some of the best walking and scenery if you don't focus too much on the highest summits in the area. You mentioned rail, so walks around Settle would be a definite option. Smearsett Scar, Pot Scar and Giggleswick Scar are all little hills but ...

Re: Hill fitness

Does anyone remember doing any training at all for their first Munro? A few of us decided in the pub to do Ben Lomond one weekend, early 40s, I maybe went for a a short (under 2 miles) run once a week but no hills. Felt hard but we got to the top.. I've been to the Ben Nevis summit a few times on s...

Re: The North Face

The point isn't that Caucasians are unwelcoming, more that members of ethnic minorities themselves might feel uncomfortable in the countryside. This is something I don't understand at all. Why would ethnic minorities feel uncomfortable? I am unaware of any notion that going for a recreational walk ...
