Secondly, I work for British Transport Police based in Perth and cover this area. There have been four seperate reports of trespass between Dalnaspidal and Balsporran ...

Re: Corrour station : Beinn Na Lap

Hi....you can access the estate form the Spean Bridge side but not by car so the train is the really the best option. There is a Youth Hostel at Loch Ossian which would give you time to climb the other nearby Munros but if it's just for the day then there is a Corbett close by (can't remember the na...

Re: Ben Lui Railway Crossing

I'm the same just a little wary of dropping myself in it! Walked through the tunnel on the way up which is great if your a dwarf  but used the other way coming down, I will probably fill the form in It's not ideal I know, but at this time it's the only legal way from that car-park. Just for ...

West Highland Way Sleeper

For further info...especially for those of you attempting the West Highland Way, the 'Sleeper' at Bridge of Orchy Railway Station is closed until further notice. There are major water supply issues in the village and the bunkhouse does not have a water supply. There is an ongoing dispute with Argyll...

Just to let you know that the water issue at Rannoch Railway Station has been resolved by Network Rail and the tea room is now open. The hours are 10am - 6pm Monday to Friday and 12pm - 6pm on Saturday. It's not open Sunday as the couple who run it travel from Bridge of Orchy by train.

Re: Don't cross the line

I listened aswell, and noted that they have an 'action plan' for among others, Drumochter. Wonder how you'll approach Ben Alder without crossing the line? The carpark is always mobbed? Iain.....I was the BTP officer on the radio on Tuesday and just to confirm to everyone and yourself, the foot cros...

Re: Stob Binnein & Ben More walk through

Cracking photos Alastair..... definetly the best route for these two!! Your 2nd last photo shows how unrelentingly steep that ascent of Ben More is. Like the photos from Elements...never tried that before
