Re: Stob Ban and Mullach nan Coirean (in a gale)

Strange that two great hills were so empty !!!!... It was the same the next day I climbed Buachaille Etive Mòr (admittedly on a Monday) and saw only 3 others - No that I am a hermit or anything BUT it's nice to have them to yourself every now and then !!!

Re: Stob Ban and Mullach nan Coirean (in a gale)

You always know it's going to be wild when you park in pollubdh car park and you are the only car there, and then on your return note that you have only been joined by a 80 year old couple snoozing!!!

Re: Old Man of Coniston

Next time go up from Seathwaite via Walna Scar to Dow Crag then round to the `Old Man' and then down to Seathwaite Tarn and back to your car - Hopefully parked at my favourite Pub in the world `The Newfield' for a pint of Old Pec!! :D

Highly recommended!!

The Helvellyn Horseshoe (in the cloud)

This was an opportunity taken due to last minute meeting at 3.30 on a Friday Afternoon in Scotland, what a better way to start a weekend than this walk up Helvellyn, over Nethermost Pike and Dollywagon Pike down to Grisedale Tarn and then up to St Sunday Crag and down to Glenridding. I managed to ge...
