Drawing a route when writing a report

Done my first report since January a few days ago. Couldn’t find the option to draw my route. Is this no longer a feature or was I looking in the wrong place?

Cheers

Next stop...Corrour

What a unique Munro. No driving involved at all from leaving the house to getting back home. We left the house at about 07:00 to catch the train into Glasgow central station. Got off, had a Greggs and a coffee then met the others at Queen Street for the half 8 ish train bound for fort Mallaig/Oban. ...

Winter on Wyvis

Cracking day up Ben Wyvis. Great drive up and arrived at car park about 10:00. Walked up the valley to the foot of the mountain and where the gradient gets steep. Had a cracking walk up, very steep with steps but I prefer a steep walk. Hit first snow patches about 600 metres and snow line reached at...

Home for the night

I had been looking forward to this one for quite some time. I had planned on going the previous weekend, but some poor weather delayed me by a week. The forecast for this weekend looked like a bit of a mixed bag so I decided to pack up the camping equipment and head up to Blair Atholl. I arrived at ...

Removing ticks from camping gear

Back home from an overnight camp in Glen Tilt. When packing up the tent I noticed a few ticks lurking about. I have no doubt that there will be ticks on and/or in my rucksack and in the folded up tent etc. Whats the best way to ensure that I am not bringing ticks into the house? Should I leave the b...

On you Ghlo

As I pulled into the car park at the end of the public road heading up to Monzie Farm the first of the three Munros in the Beinn A' Ghlo massif stood tall and looked irresistible. Booted up I began the walk to the foot of the mountain from the car park heading past fields of grazing cattle. Shortly ...

More and More

Ben More & Stob Binnein with Pauline, Claire & Matt. Left glasgow early doors and got a good start time. Steep climb up face of Ben More and into cloud at the top. Cloud base lifted shortly after summiting Ben More and some spectacular views greeted us. Felt quite ill on way up Ben More. Fro...

Sunshine and rain up Carn A'Mhaim

After a failed attempt at climbing some Munro's in the Cairngorms range a few years ago due to illness I have been itching to get a few done. The plan was to head up Derry Cairn Gorm and Ben MacDui with an overnighter in the tent at Derry lodge but this idea wasn’t taken to well by my partner. Inste...

The Glen Lyon 4

We set off early doors, 05:15 to be precise, in the hope that we would find a space at the small car park at Invervar. We got there and needless to say, the five or six cars that had beat us to it had filled up the car park. I had worried that this would be the case despite our early departure so I ...

Loving it up Lawers

The first Mountain Day out for a good while would find me up Beinn Ghlas and Ben Lawers with some of the family. Setting off from Glasgow at about 06:20 we arrived at the foot of the hill at about 07:50. We readied ourselves and set off up the first of the 2 hills, Beinn Ghlas. The initial part of t...

A long hard slog up Loch Earn

Nothing to merit a full report on this one. A not so enjoyable day on the hills. From the moment I left the car to the moment I returned I felt fatigued and sluggish. The walk up Ben Vorlich was a slow slog. I lost count how many times I had to stop. it was wet and cold and for some reason, despite ...
