Re: Backpacks

I love my Flex Capacitor too. I wish the top pocket was a bit more substantial, but it's light and very, very comfortable.

It's great for me, sometimes use it to carry in camping and sleeping gear to a basecamp or bothy, then I can cinch it down to 40L to make it a more compact day-pack.

Re: Return of the BIG MEET! 6-8 Oct ***WAITING LIST ONLY!!

Just a month to go! 8) I guess it's too much to hope that this spell of nice, high pressure will still be hanging around in a month's time but weather permitting, what plans have folks got? I'm quite keen on Sgritheall for the Saturday but could also be persuaded up the Forcan Ridge! My main aim wo...

A 'What tent?' question?

I've been humming and hawing most of the year over this, so perhaps the WH mind can help. I'm looking for a tent to complement my Lanshan 1. I have a Naturehike Cloud Peak 2, which I've not been that impressed with: bungees snapping and a hole in the fly, and it's also a bit heavier than I'd like. W...

Descending Stob Binnein on Saturday 13th we found a black and red Massey Ferguson cap just off the path at around 800m.

What's the itinerary on these events, does everyone just do their own thing, or are different groups organised?

Re: Munro buddy

Meetup works for me, unless we just share numbers through PM and do it on Whatsapp. I'm easy either way.

Re: Munro buddy

Hey - yes I’d be up for meeting up for some hills! I’m on 88 and based in Edinburgh now but still have a van so I can travel 👍 Hi, are you still looking for munro pals? I'm on 10, like a few others on here a lack of interest among my friends hinders how often I get away. Sorry, missed these replies...

Re: Backpacking rucksack for tall guy (6'2")?

Hey, thanks for that man. I got the same email, though they didn't seem to have the M/L with M/L belt combo: maybe they'd already sold out. Anyway, I got one from Valley and Peak delivered yesterday, seems like a lovely bit of kit, very much looking to getting out and about with it.

Re: Backpacking rucksack for tall guy (6'2")?

It's good to hear the love for the Flex Capacitor 40-60, I've been waiting for them to come in stock somewhere for the best part of six months though.
