We climbed Beinn Damh with Maol Chean-Dearg, it was a long day but by the time we got to BD there was no one about. Route finding was tricky but yours looked more difficult.

Highly recommended.

Re: Beinn Dearg via the Carn na Feola Terrordome
We climbed up the South slope of Carn na Feola (see walk report 1/8/21); respect to you for attempting, and succeeding on, the North end. The description reminds me of the East spur of Beinn Damh, all tiers and grass. As well as being a great hill to climb you can't beat the views.

Re: Marsco - bit of a drag on the way up, but the views!
Great report and lovely photos. For anyone wanting a shorter walk in, there is a route up from near the waterfall at the end of Loch Ainort. We combined it with Garb Bheinn and could have included Belig without much greater effort. It has the added interest of including a Red Cullin and a black gabr...

Re: Munro tops
Thanks for the clarification, it's something of a disappointment as at my age I am unlikely to climb the Inn Pin but could just about manage Sgurr Dearg.

Munro tops
I think the addition of Tops to the website is great but can anyone explain why the Bhastier Tooth is a Munro Top of Am Bastier whereas Sgurr Dearg is not a Top of the Inaccessible Pinnacle. Maybe I'm missing something obvious!

Re: Waum Rydd from Cornwall Farm
Phil
hopefully you can miss out or bypass the miles of tarmac; it's a quiet road but seems very monotonous.
Enjoy your trip.

Pecelli - Talybont Llangynidr circular
$matches[2] We holidayed in Burgundy for several years when Ben was younger and one of the delights of the area we stayed in (near Montbard) was the Canal de Bourgogne and the Brenne valley, which we used to walk and cycle along, going further afield each year. So the walk along the canal between P...

Waum Rydd from Cornwall Farm
$matches[2] We had a week in the Brecon Beacons in early May; the forecast was uncertain but turned out to be good. We stayed at a cottage in Cornwall farm just uphill from the village of Pencelli which is in the Usk valley, The Monmouthshire and Brecon canal runs through the village. If you are no...

Great photos of a wonderful area of the country.
The last time i saw the car park deer, he was poking his head in a van window hustling for snacks.
Thanks again

Re: East ridge of the Mullach
I had missed this report when researching for a possible route up the East ridge of MCMF. The scrambly bit of Sgurr Dubh is a bit of an anomaly in that it is actually a block of Gneiss sitting on top of Quartzite and sandstone having been shunted there by the Moine Thrust. Gneiss is the bedrock for ...
