A short walk in the Sierra Nevada - Pt 1 of 3

Preamble Six years has passed since Ben and I went on our first proper walk. This was prior to him going to university and since then we have had four week long trips to Scotland. The plan was for us to have a week walking before meeting up with Debbie and a week staying in a villa near Orgiva. The ...

Re: Ben Eighe Complete Ridge

Christopher

A superb route which I've had on my to-do list since tackling Beinn Eighe in clag three years ago. I was a little wary of the Lawson, Ling & Glover route but I think you have cleared my doubts up.

Well done

Bla Bheinn -

We put off Blaven yesterday because the cloud was too low, but on the way back from the Quirang in the afternoon we noticed the top was clear around 4 o’clock so even though we had yet another low cloud day on Skye there was the possibility that we may get a clear top sometime in the afternoon. On t...

The Quirang - 4th visit

This is our fourth visit to The Quirang and the first where we have completed the circuit. On previous visits Ben was 1, 8 and 22, the last visit was the most disappointing in that we got a flat tyre coming out of a passing place just opposite the cemetery as we arrived and therefore wasted the whol...

Liathach - out of the grey and into the blue

$matches[2] For the last three years we have visited Torridon with Liathach Top on the to-do list. Apart from 2018, when we tackled Beinn Alligin, our second Munro, the weather has not been good enough to justify ascending the mighty Liathach. The big hill with big views needs a good day. Whilst on...

Re: Big BEM - Late to the Buachaille

Great picture of the raven, it's probably the same one that pestered us until we fed it when we were there in 2019.
