Re: Photos on walk reports

It seems to be all reports, and my partner is having the same problem. I'll maybe just need to be more patient and give them time

Photos on walk reports

I don't seem to be able to see the photos on the hill reports any more. Is anyone else having this problem?

Re: A gale blown sub between two lochs and ended up in A & E

Hope the wrist is healing now. We did this wee hill exactly the same way as you today. It's a wonderful hill with amazing views. All the best.

Re: A majestic Torridonian wild camp

Amazing video!! We were up there today in the snow and it looks very different, but still rocky and steep!

Re: Meall na Faochaig, Beinn Mheadhoin - Spring (kinda) arri

We did Beinn Meadhoin today and found a lovely stalkers path all the way up the ridge. It starts with a tiny cairn at roughly grid ref 268 488. Fantastic hill :-)

When 1 Mamore becomes 4!

We set off up the same initial ascent as yesterday intending to climb An Gearanach and then head home in the afternoon, but as we made our way up the very well defined, but incredibly steep and pebbly stalkers path we began to think this was a lot of effort for one hill! The track is almost invisibl...

Finishing the Grey Corries

We parked the van at the Highland Council car park at the lower falls....a £10 charge for the day! We cycled up to the upper falls car park and walked the beautiful gorge up to the lush pastures around the Steall Hut. The waterfall is stunning, a cascade blasting down several hundred feet of dark ro...

Re: Not one but two Sgurrs

Nice repot BP, and once again lovely photos :-) You've certainly been getting out and about this year. We are just back from a couple of great days near Roybridge doing the Grey Corries and a couple of the Loch Ossian munros...had the same issue with hydro works there :( ......still, they are better...

Keeping one eye on the train time and another on the terrain

Took the 8.02 train from Roybridge, along with the bikes. Cycled Corrour to the end of Loch Ossian with the Loadge and lots of construction work for a new hydro scheme. Once past the diggers and up onto path less open hillside it felt lovely and remote. Bit cloudy at first but as we left first summi...

Grey Corries

Very hot day...almost no air in the glen. Walked up along the dismantled railway track....very boggy and full of wildflowers and lots of bugs! At dam we missed the river crossing and walked up left side of the glen with very steep drops into the gorge below  Found our way back across river at...

Hartaval in the heat

Whilst Derek ran the Trotternish hill race I wandered with the sun dazzled crowds up past the Old Man of Storr and into the corrie beyond. Avoiding the summit of Storr this time I headed out to the Graham of Hartaval. Stunning views and really hot sunshine. Met a man doing a wildflower survey and he...

The Old Man...no, not Derek!

Joined the crowds of tourists making their way in the Bank holiday sunshine to the Old Man of Storr. Derek ran the Trotternish Ridge in prep for the hill race on the 7th June. I accompanied him up to The Storr and then he ran on while I went back down and then drove to the other end to pick him up. ...

Scree above the Slig

Amazing hill day....crisp clear views all round. Bit boggy start to route but good path higher up and good track through scree. Met one person on hill, same guy we had met on The Storr yesterday! Descent to the col was horrible, very steep, slippery scree. No track out through glen til quite far dow...
