Clue time.
This is my favourite beach on Harris. It is described on a certain website as "... perhaps the finest roadless beach in the Outer Hebrides." There is an island in view and once there was a unique experiment in the delivery of mail to the islanders.

I'm guessing Beinn Bhan across the Great Glen. I wasn't able to hang around for a view asI struggled to stand in the fierce win whne I climbed it so maybe totally wrong

Loch Vrotachan behind Cairn Aosda and The Cairnwell appears to fit your description and also fits in with the terrain in your photo.

It has a look of Druim Chosaidh on the eastern approach to Sgurr a ' Choire Bheithe.

Taking a punt here, but I having had a few days in Ballater in the autumn, the outline of the faraway hill looks familiar. So - I wonder if it is Mount Keen?
