Have just spent a week in Torridon and Glen Affric areas - the weather has been superb. Really great autumn colours, stags roaring above the glens and Indian summer sunshine. I've been coming to Scotland in October for a long time now and really think its much better than September - less rain etc. ...

This was also my first Scottish hillwalk, although I have done quite a few since then. Was back recently and loved the autumn colours. It has a real "get away from it all" feel to it after the relative business of Drum and the Great Glen. I'd recommend this walk to anyone fancying a shorti...

Skye Half Marathon 2007

A group of us are coming to Skye for the Half Marathon - for some it will be our first half M race, non of us are hill runners. Does anyone know what the route is like and how hilly?
