Creise and Meall a'Bhuiridh

Planning on doing these 2 this Sunday and was wondering if anyone knows if there's much snow. If there is I'll go alone but if its fairly good I'll take the wife on her second trip.

CMD arete

Planning on doing this on the 4th May and was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is still hard snow or ice. I know it holds snow a while on the North side but there has been a bit of rain.

It's a fairly steep climb but I'm hoping the ice axe and cramps wont be needed.

Thanks
John.

2nd Feb

I have planned to do An Socach tomorrow (Sunday), And I was wondering if anyone has been around there recently and if so can they tell me if Baddoch Burn is fordable or not. Don't want to waste petrol driving there to find the Burn is to high like last time I was there lol.

Thanks in advance

Re: 100th Munro this coming weekend , 18th or 19th

TBH the ground was still frozen so it wasn't a problem. I have always put off doing these Munro's because they look crap with all the skiing runs and equipment. I know its good for the area etc etc but it still looks crap lol. Mind you in the end I didn't see much through the driving sleet  .

Re: 100th Munro this coming weekend , 18th or 19th

I was there around 8:45 and saw one of you guys (not sure who). I was planning to do the same walk when he asked if I was from WH. So I new there must have been a meet in here somewhere. It was going to be number 50 for me but the ford was impassable so I drove back and did the Cairnwell circuit. Th...

Re: WH 2014 SPRING MEET! **ULLAPOOL** 28/29 March 2014

I too have been pondering coming up for the weekend. I read these forums all the time but feel a little akward because I really dont post much. Kind of feel like an outsider looking in if you get my drift.

Re: Glen Lyon

Yep being someone of reasonable mind I have postponed the walk till next Sunday ... I will instead be walking of all the Christmas excess. I don't mind rain ,hail, snow.even whiteouts ..but I'm always wary of high winds and drifting snow.
