Re: Borders Abbeys Way

@Gordie12 - thank you for this!

You have not put me off at all. I am planning to break it up into smaller sections and I've got some extra days scheduled in Kelso and Hawick. Just looking forward to getting out and, most importantly, away from work!

Re: Hello, all!

@weedavie - thank you - these are exactly the kind of stories and legends I love to hear when I travel!

Re: Hello, all!

Thank you, Caberfeidh!
I knew about the heart of Robert the Bruce, but did not know the story of King Arthur and his Knights hiding out in the hills, or of the Roman fort. Will definitely have check it out!

Hello, all!

Brief introduction. I have just this year started rambling, with the specific goal of a hiking holiday in Scotland - specifically walking the Borders Abbeys Way (coming up in October!). "Training" for this has not been easy, as I live in Phoenix, Arizona and it gets really, really hot here...

Borders Abbeys Way

Hi all. I will be walking the Borders Abbeys Way in a few weeks. I was wondering if there is a leg that is more or less scenic for walking? Just in case of time (or other considerations), I need to take a bus between two of the stops. Thanks!.
