Hi Mountain Tortoise. Berghaus have a new system called Bioflex that (supposedly) can be "adjusted to all back lengths", not sure whether that helps any?

You're welcome both of you, glad I could be of some help :D I used to come across similar boundary markers in the Yorkshire Dales, mainly for marking the edges of lead mine claims so I wondered if these could be the same thing. Not quite right- but close.

John, is this the stone you meant (or one of them)? There is quite a long explanation with the photo, I hope its of some help. I think the Photographer is referring to a book by Prof. Rankine (with an e) published by the Clydebank District Library, not sure what title or year though. http://www.geog...

I have had a Craghoppers jacket for about four years now, washed and reproofed several times, it is still soft and performs very well. Normally wouldn't be able to afford one, but it was on offer!!! :lol:
