Found at Altanour Lodge Glen Ey

We found a flat cap (stalker/beater maybe) at the deer fence surrounding Altanour Lodge ruin. Left it on top of fence post.

Re: Braeriach from Whitewell

Thanks for your detailed route and pics, it is just what I needed to plan the same trip this week (June 2021!). You probably found the name of your alpine plant but in case not, it is a Moss Campion, Silene acaulis.

Re: Beinn nan Oighreag, Glen Lochay

Thanks for your pics and account (hope the blister healed fast!). We were the only folk on this hill yesterday 16/10/20 and it is a great point from which to view some very rugged and remote country. Rather a murky, cold day but nevertheless "atmospheric" !

Re: Beinn Dearg cycling Glen Banvie

Thanks for this report, am hoping to do Beinn Dearg in 2 days time and all your detail are a big help. I cycled Carn a'Chlamain 3 weeks ago and thought the track was heaven after the Glen Taitneach track to Carn an Righ. Needed compeed for my btm!

Beinn Eighe

Re: Just shy of 83,but 4 from Glenshee

Love your report "g/leg walker"! Just did Glas Maol & Creag Leacach from Cairnwell end 14/08/13, like you tried to hitch lift back up back up the glen to car park, and nae takers - but thought we saw Prince Andrew in landrover go shooting by!

Re: Ben Lui

Well done, I must say,,the river and rail points at the beginning make me wary of heading in Lui's direction too. mayby next week, if this spell of weather continues. Fab job! Thanks GillC! You'll do it easily, the river is very low just now. I just splashed through it, didn't bother trying ...

Ben Lui

Ben Lui Or A Pensioners Day Out! I was very apprehensive about this mountain after reading the various accounts of river/rail crossings and boggy forest tracks! So I decided to wait for a dry spell, and got my wish with Andy winning Wimbledon! Thursday July 11th saw me a little hesitant, but booted ...
