Re: Car parking for Corrour

Hi, just seen your post whilst searching for parking info, did you have to pay for parking? And if the 5 spaces are full is there anywhere else near to park?
Cheers

Erie, round 2

Original plan was to do Erie Hill with the White Combe range, but bad weather put paid to that idea. So round two was started from the small road from Tweedsmuir which heads towards Fruid reservoir. Parked by the gate to Silver Jubilee road aka logging track. A nice notice was put on the gate saying...

Blackhope and bog?

Thought this would be a nice short(ish) walk for a winters day. Almost missed the informal parking area as the sign saying 'no parking beyond this point' seemed rather small for an early twilight morning. the look of the farmer we passed around 7am succinctly conveyed the idea 'nutters' it sta...

Hart Fell, early morning, electricity and bracken

Doing a walk like this in November meant an early morning start. Left home at 5.15am and started walking in dusk, was hoping for a glorious sunrise, didn't happen :( . The morning mist gradually cleared and all was fine until meeting the electric fence just after Under Saddle Yoke, which my partner ...

Re: One Dollar and a bag of Donalds

Thanks for your route and GPS file. Did the walk today in reverse, re-jigged your route and came down from Black Law via Deer Law, walk along road back to car not as long that way :)

Re: Herman Law to Bodesbeck Law (and back)

did most of this today, but parked at Grey Mares Tail car park, walked up road to Herman Law path, then over the tops and straight down from Bell Craig to the car park, steep but do-able, saves re-tracing your steps
