Found: Blue & white bobble hat on Beinn Fhionnlaidh

Just what it says! A blue & white bobble hat found yesterday (30th June) about 2/3 of the way down (or up) the west ridge of Beinn Fhionnlaidh above Glen Ure. Not been there long, still felt dry - not wet and dried out - and grass very slightly yellowed under it. PM me with your address and I'll...

Re: FOUND Motorola Mobile on Ben Vorlich (Lomond)

It finally dried out enough to try charging it up. Much to my surprise it started up OK, even better it wasn't password-protected, and to top it all one of the contacts was called "Home", with a landline number.
Phone is to be re-united with its owner.

FOUND Motorola Mobile on Ben Vorlich (Lomond)

Found a Motorola mobile phone on Ben Vorlich (Lomond) on Tuesday 27th August. Found on the ascent from Stuckendroin Farm via Little Hills, approx 2/3 way up to the first summit. Not been there too long, grass was not yet dying under it.

PM me with details, and I'll post it on.

Cheers
David

Actually, earlier this afternoon I couldn't see any of them - but that's just summer in Scotland!

Re: looking for walking companion on Skye

Just thought I'd say hello (again) Don't get over to Skye much, although have got a trip planned for end of May to do "In Pin Plus", so maybe not in your definition of easyish hill walks. Also not one for the dogs really - do they do abseiling? :D How's Chloe doing? David and Misty (lazy c...

Re: Seen This Folks?

Well of course, before that happened yesterday, nobody knew there could be a landslip... On 17th August [----] the 10am local passenger train from Oban to Dalmally was passing Falls of Cruachan in the Pass of Brander when it was struck by a falling boulder. Several carriages were derailed, but the ...

Re: Grey Corries and the Aonachs

Thinking of a trip for next summer. Grey Corries and Aonachs from the "normal" side, over 2 days with a high camp. There's a couple of small lochans on the south side of the ridge below Bealach Coire Easain at NN234720. Anybody know if this is suitable for a campsite, or if not is there an...

Re: Real Monarch of the Glen

Just seen the "First part of a new series" about this - must be a re-run in the early evening slot. Certaintly one to keep a watch on. Checked the MCoS website, is there any mention there of a pro-access camapaign? I'd rather put my name to one from them than write an individual letter, bu...
