Ben Venue for a leg stretch

Colin and I. Colins first hill day sine lockdown eased. Weather was okay, although it did snow briefly on the summit. Did both tops and had great views from the East Top. Still looking for my hill fitness.

Meandering Adventures

Camped at Atterdale on Friday night. Lesuirly start. Hot beautiful day. Stunning at the summit. New hill for Gammy repeat for Debbie and I. Debbie took a tumble after the boulder field on the way down. Broken wrist. Strapped it up for the walkout.

First walk for six months

Not the best idea for the first post lockdown walk. Undulating false summits, pathless decent and a very sunny day. Loved it! Harry and I. finished with a look in the Loch.

Maoile Lunndaidh snowy attempt

Harry and myself. Track was a little icy. Took way to long to get across the glen to the start of the ascent. Found ourselves on very steep ground with fresh snow unbonded to hard ice and well behind on time so decided to bail.

Tough day

Left GLA at 03:45 and got home at 02:45 so a 23 hour day trip  Harry, Colin and myself. Beautiful day, but not enough wind and the midges were ferocious even at the summit. Lock down has robbed me of my hill fitness especially on steep climbs and this fella has one of the steepest  Fol...

Back in the Hills

Lockdown phase 2. No one told the weather so we had to wait until Monday. Great to be back out. Weather was good, clear summits and great views. Cloud came in as we were descending for about 20 and a little rain. Myself, Harry my two girls and Max (8) doing his second and third munro. Things I learn...

After a magnificent day before, we headed up to have a look at the corrie and the stone chute. Thought about it but not enough in the legs.

Great day, near Applecross. First time in the area for me. Awesome hill once you get past the fact that its a wee pathless thing
