Re: An Caisteal and Beinn a'Chroin

Looks like you had a great day!! I did the same the Saturday after you and the weather wasn't quite as good - clouds round summits didn't clear until reached Beinn a'Chroin (although the lack of sun did make the day a bit easier  ) Great report - hope to do this trip soon - its on the List. Se...

Re: Beinn Tulaichean diversion at start

We turned back, not in a great mood for the hills to start with and the wet , clag, rain etc just made us decide "another day". Good walk further up? I'd love to say yes but in all honesty I found it pretty horrendous. Extremely boggy for most of the way with no path. The diversion and th...

Re: Ben More and Stob Binnein from the South

Thanks for sharing the trip, some great photos. To break up the return trip you can turn it into a circular by dropping into Inverlochlarig Glen from the bealach. It's pathless to start with and a wee bit boggy but you eventually pick up a landrover track back to the farm. Edit - just noted your com...

Re: Lui Laoigh, Ben Laoigh Lui

Well done, despite the weather you can tell you had a great day :D My only fail to date was on Ben Lui and it was on a similar day to your own. I got to the start of the NE ridge, visiblilty was down to 10 yards so I made a call and crossed over to the NW ridge. Now this was fine until I hit a 'gran...
