Re: new member

Hi Terry, have fun, it's a great walk despite what I'd heard today (Ben Nevis walk gets a one star rating on Trip Advisor).

Re: Ben Vorlich (the Loch Lomond one)

...I was looking for the cairn, worried I might miss it - it's big and hard to miss... Glad this has been improved since I did it a few years ago, so many people have missed it, including myself :shh: I remember that long slog up from the road, it was a dry day when I did it but still extremely bog...

Re: The day I swam across Loch Quoich to climb Gairich

Great report, certainly a different way to do it. Walking in to future ones will seem so boring now :)

Glad you made it back safely, dare I say you could always have rigged up a sail made from the head of a stag and some under garments :) Or maybe not!

Re: Steall Ring with extra sting

Great report Simon, well done for carrying on to bag those extra two. I was two tired to do them when I did the Ring.
Good walk to end your trip with.

Just the one whisky to celebrate? Must be worth a few more than that :)

Re: Ben Nevis via the Carn Mor Dearg Arete

Read lots of reports on this route James, no photos but a great read and an even better video. The shots of the arête are really atmospheric with the lack of visibility on either side, the clouds making it look really quite claustrophobic, and scary. Good job for not turning back :) Looked really bu...

Bad luck David, I hope the next one is much clearer than your first :)

Re: Stepping up a grade??

Saw a great video on You Tube the other day of the complete walk along the AE ridge, just over an hour long. On problem was it was from West to East and I think most people do it the other way. Worth checking out though. Some places look very exposed but others are a doddle (he says from the safety ...
