Ben Vuirich done from Loch Moraig. Excellent sunny day for it. Small sections of bog were easy to navigate around. Never saw anyone all day apart from a bloke sunbathing at the top of Ben Vuirich

I was keen to try getting on the water so picked up a Sevylor inflatable last year to get started. Only been out a handful of times on a few different lochs but love it already. Couple of small patches of snow on Beinn Bhuidhe today, all easily passed. North sides of Ime & Narnain have very little snow so fair to assume the Arrochar approach of these two should be fine.

Was on the Grahams down by Lock Eck today, could see as far as Ben Cruachan, barely a spot of snow to be seen anywhere so doubt crampons will be needed anywhere in the area.

I'll take your word for it Lightfoot, after a promising walk in with glimpses of blue sky I ended up walking in clag most of the way.

I'll go back one day, once my recollection of the bog has faded into a very distant memory.

Done the Monadhliath trio at the weekend, they were probably the worst I've experienced so far, waders required stuff up and down. Fortunately the bog on the plateau towards Carn Sgulain was frozen but the boots were like wet sponges by then. New boots also on the radar for me!

Your cairn picture looks identical to mine from last Tuesday.

According to my GPS it had me at the summit so I'm confident it was the right top although I'll go back someday as I got the feeling it would've been a nice walk had I been able to see anything.

Just missed you, went past that way around 6.30 on my way to the Loch Lochy pair. You chose wisely, I didn't see a thing from the bealach up due to clag.
