RAF buzzing crummock water

Was going for a quick stroll up rannerdale Knotts today when an RAF jet came flying thru just above crummock water...I was only at 288m and yet it was below me and thrilling to watch it do a sharp left turn and continue before flying over honnister pass But too damn quick for the camera...keen to kn...

They sound ok...1-2 poon as the lass on the Train to Edinburgh called it...The Lakes are eyewateringly expensive...had to ring my bank manager to see if I could park up to do a walk earlier in the year as a weekends parking is ridiculous...no wonder so many ar*es park up illegially blocking roads

It really depends on wind direction doesn't it?

I was in the Lakes last month and spent the weekend walking up hills with Eastern approaches as I was sheltered for all but the last part...made for a nice weekend

Thought this was an early April Fools joke...while I carry a GPS mostly to use the elevation and distance to check nav (and sometimes desparately check how much altitude to go), I generally naviagate using a map (although never withit hanging aroudn my neck...have never understood why you would want...
