Winter's clinging on - Braeriach/Cairn Toul Traverse

I received a text from my cousin, Steven, a few weeks back. He had a couple weeks holiday in April and wanted to know if I fancied meeting up to head out for a day on the hills. I immediately said yes - I don't get too many opportunities to walk with other people so thought it would be great to not ...

Re: Mullach Clach a'Bhlair, Sgor Gaoith

Great report :) Hoping to head up Braeriach next week but was planning this exact route as a potential backup if conditions weren't great. Did the snow ever merit the use of crampons? Doesn't look too bad in your pics!

Re: Skye half marathon.

Late reply - apologies!

Cheers for that Dave. Spotted a few on there already :)

I have Balmoral 15 Mile Trail Race at the end of April so that is the first thing to aim for.

All the best for the Skye Half!

Cheers,
Ryan

Re: Skye half marathon.

I intended to run this this year but I'm not going to be able make it. The one day in June I'm unavailable! I'm cranking up the training in preparation for Glencoe Marathon in October so if you know of any races up north that you could recommend that would be much appreciated :D

Re: Meall Fuar-mhonaidh (Graham), Loch Ness

Sorry - didn't see reply - just randomly noticed whilst browsing site! That day I had absolutely perfect conditions. Set out early so hill was quiet - never saw another soul til halfway back down :) Views were unbelievable, it's since become one of my favourite walks. Even managed to persuade the be...

Strathfarrar Four - Saturday 14th September

Hey folks, Bit of a late shout, but planning on heading to Strathfarrar on Saturday to bag these four: http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lochness/strathfarrar-munros.shtml Looks straight forward enough but not an area I've ever been to before. If anyone fancies coming along give me a shout. I'll be dri...

Hi!

Hi all!

I've just recently moved to Inverness from the Borders (I like to think of it as a mini version of the Highlands!). Hoping to be able to make the most of being a lot closer to some great walks, starting this summer :D
