Re: Carn Dearg Solo

I enjoy reading your walk reports, keep them coming. I remember now pulling you out of that bog, I was younger then and would struggle now with my Zimmer by my side. Cheers☺️

Lost on Beinn Mhic Chasgaig

A Friday afternoon walk up our next Corbett with Janice. Started off in decent clear weather but half way up the summit ridge the heavens opened. We had to take shelter on the summit until the squall passed over. Very steep descent S.E to the river and then we had extreme difficulty crossing the riv...

Corbett Beinn Mhic Chasgaig- Lost Glasses

A walk on Friday 20 April in poor weather I misplaced my glasses case with vari-focals in them. Name and address, mobile number inside of hard black case. Did the route the normal way from Glen Etive up the glen to the wee bridge then forded the river and made my way up east side of the deep gully t...

Re: Lost iPhone 5 - Morrone NO133887

I hope you get some positive feed back from this post.
The weather is changing, perhaps a minor thaw would reveal the whereabouts of this phone.
Was anybody informed in Braemar?

A round of Six

From the campsite at Strawberry cottage I hopped on the bike to the start of the walk, the stalkers path up to Bealach Coire Ghaidheil. It was an early start, 4.30am as the local ghillie decided to start work near the bothy at 3.30am and it was his quad bike roaring up the glen that woke me up. Up t...

South West Face of Bidean nam Bian

I have found no mention of this route on WH, so here it is! From the parking spot at Dalness I followed the minor road down Glen Etive to the forest clearances. I ascended on new tractor paths through the off cuts and forest to emerge on the S.E slope of Beinn Maol Chaluim. The ground was steep but ...

Well, what did Anne say?
Missed you at Aviemore and the vegie meal!
The ridge to the Corbett is by far the most interesting feature of the Munro walk you will have to do again!
