Lakes 2018 Day 7: Glaramara, Great Gable etc

Ascent up Hind Gill was steep & path intermittent. Glaramara was an excellent hill wil few visitors. Path towards Great Gable very busy, but then fewer on the ascent. Base Brown acceptable. Way down steep in places.

Lakes 2018 Day 6: Eagle Crag, Ulscarf

Way down Ullscarf was fine-towards Great Crag-no one else there!

There was a more interesting way up Eagle Crag from which route we met a chap on the summit.

Left Stonethwaite Farm for Chapel House Farm.

Lakes 2018 Day 5: Wray Castle, Rattle Gill Cafe, Castle Crag

Left Dale Bottom, visited Wray Castle and the excelent (as usual) Rattle Gill Cafe, set up tent at Stonethwaite Farm (not clean facilities, no showers) and ascended Castle Crag. Agree with Grandad&Hilary that hill is excellent, and is the smallest Wainright.

SW coast path Durdle Door, Lulworth

V warm, 30C, frozen water melted and warm by lunchtime. Surprisingly quiet away from Durdle Door/Lulworth Cove. Nice iced cream at Lulworth (the cafe/iced cream window/porch closer to the car park)

Old Winchester Hill, Beacon Hill near Warnford

Lovely late afternoon walk - after N watched royal wedding. Met a guy from the area who had ridden out of London on his motorbike and who we saw on both hills. Ramblers were having tea on their table at the Beacon Hill car park. Rivers were very clear - lots of springs and watercress being grown. ou...

Creag Ruadh (Kinloch Laggan)

Last hill of the trip, first cylindrical trig, nice wee hill, if wet from the rapidly melting snow. Nice high level lochan still frozen, with loads of snow on the bank at one side.
