Meall Chuaich

Last day of holiday, before House of Bruar, Perth, and drive to J parents. Cloud lifted during drive/ascent. Fantastic wide ranging views. Best views of trip. Section on track near road is next to an aquaduct, very creepy to walk next to fast moving water that makes no sound (because its in a concre...

Bynack More

decent weather in the morning. Saw Ptarmigans on the way to the summit. They were gone by t...

Meall a'Bhuachaille

On Sunday afternoon, after Church for Naomi. Did because weather was not so bad for the afternoon as for the next day, and done in spite of walking St Cuthberts Way the preceding week. Good walk, weather was decent-main Cairngorms cleared toward end of walk.

St Cuthberts Way

With Naomi and Marian, just before the latter moves to Nottingham. Generally decent weather. Camped at Melrose before start, then at Jedburgh, Town Yetholm, Wooler, and Beal. Marian's dad gave lifts to start/end. Camping at start point prior to start of walk was good decision. First two days each of...

Lost: two pairs of walking poles by glenmore lodge

Left behind yesterday at the small parking area by glenmore lodge (for the route to bynack more), two pairs of poles.
Leant against car, drove off in heavy rain and didn't pick them up!
Would be happy to have them back
