Re: The Cobbler & Some Snow 07/11/2009

Doesn't look like the weather dampened your day at all! Did the Cobbler earlier on this year, have still to go through the needle, one day! Hi Nicla, Your right the weather did'nt dampen our spirits at all, think the only damp thing was Davie doing his snow angel. Lol, yeah had a wee look through t...

Great pictures; very vivid! Have done this one twice and never seen a darn thing from the top! :( Thanks mate, glad you liked the pic's! It was just one of those days where you could see for miles. I know where your coming from, the last 3 hills I've climbed I've had no views at all, Ben Ledi, Ben ...

Helloooo! Man o' man am I glad I took my last days holiday from work before Christmas on Friday 11/12/09. Decided to head for Ben Lomond after checking the weather report. Attempted to climb it last year just after Christmas but had to give up just below the summit due to zero visability & it be...

The Cobbler & Some Snow 07/11/09

Well after the last two climbs up Ben Lawers & Ben Ledi with no views (due to low cloud) would it, could it be third time lucky? Would we get a clear sunny day with amazing views all the way? Ayeeeeeeeeee right! NO CHANCE :D :D We cancelled this walk two weeks ago due to high winds and heavy rai...

Re: Some Scottish Photo's & Landscapes

Thanks for the comment Hills, glad you like them, much appreciated :) Think I'm getting there, there's usually about 5 mince photo's for every half decent one I take. If I get down to 3 in 1 mince I'll be happy lol :) Cheers Doogz, glad you like them too mate :) Its a Nikon D40 I use plus a polarize...

Re: Landscape Photographer of the Year

I think its a great photo but I still prefer photo's to look real. I dont mind the use of polarizers, or ND grads etc when taking a photo just to give that touch of added colour etc (which I do myself) but I'm still not sold on the over use of digital enhancement or layers.......probabaly cause I do...

Re: Stac Pollaidh - how hard is the scramble to true summit?

Here you go - I reckon this makes it look a little easier than it is... http://www.flickr.com/photos/nicklandells/3729170297/ You can see the same pitch on the left in this shot... http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/9504 Fancy it with only one hand? Felt my stomach going looking at the flickr...

Re: Some Scottish Photo's & Landscapes

Thanks Wanderlust, Not sure mate, I've not really gave the calendar much serious thought to be honest as I did'nt think I had enough variety as in seasons & areas, hopefully by summer next year I'll have enough to choose from. Thanks MC, glad you like them, much appreciated. If anyone would like...

Re: Another superb Autumn day in the Highlands

What a fantastic climb to break your boots in :)

Great report & photo's, glad you got such a good day for your climb!

Laughing at that couples pre-nuptual test of character climbing the east summit, can think of easier ways but I guess the views would'nt be the same :)
