Re: How to combine hills Panther's way

Cracking report as always BP! Your fly might be a Giant Tachinid Fly, we saw one recently too and I thought it was a bee without stripes 🤪

Loch Quoich

Saturday - Spidean Mialach & Gleouraich Quite a trudge up through bog and then quite deep snow to get to the first summit.....once up there though we had a nice ridge to follow along the coire edge, unfortunately we didn't get to see to much of it  A mixture of boulders and snow made for c...

Ben Challum & The Aonachs

Ben Challum would have been a nice straightforward hill on a normal day.......this was not a normal day! Gale force winds and learning to moonwalk all at once made for a very interesting outing. Actually had to just sit down on a few occasions rather than be blown over and had a nice slip on a wet l...

Last of the Torridon Big 3 & Windy Wyvis!

Winter has truly arrived! A light dusting of snow crowned Ben Eighe when we arrived at the start. A lovely walk up the corrie then onto the wee ridge out to Spidean Corie nan Clach. There was a wee bit of scrambling involved made all the more interesting with the snow but nothing to challenging. Bac...

The Grey/Pink Corries

Turned out a better day weather wise than expected so pretty pleased about that! And that meant we actually got some pretty fab views of the ridge.....and what a ridge! Nothing particularly challenging about these hills, a few wee scrambles but the quartzite rock can be pretty slippy when wet. The w...

Bidean & friends weekender!

Bidean and Sgreamhach were a mystery in clag pretty much most of the day but still good hills to climb, shame about the lack of views though  Sgor na h-Ulaidh and Meall Lighiche were wet, steep, grassy, boggy with some nice slidy mossy rocks thrown in for good measure. It was a hard slog to ge...
