Re: In praise of the litter pickers.

I've seen horses in the street here wearing an item a cross between a nappy and a bag, which catches solid effluent. Rider disposes of contents at end of ride. Not common, but not unknown either. What's good for towns can be good can work in the hills and glens too.

Re: Blair Atholl

I don't recall their room prices being quite that steep when I was last there - 2019 perhaps or 2017. Maybe they seek to recoup from the lost business this last 15 months. If I remember aright, the Atholl Arms has a good deal of their business from tours etc. I have manged to get a room their before...

Pleasantries exchanged, I was asked if alone - yes - is it safe for you to be alone?- why not? I suppose you have a cell phone? No, why have one, there is no coverege in the moun...

@Moriarty:

Re: Beinn a' Chuallaich B847 – No Parking

Hmmm, not holding my breath for sign removal when extraction is over. IMO signs should then be removed; extraction happens once every 30 - 50 years and then we wait while new trees grow to maturity - they don't need the signs during the growing years....... And the prohibion of parking along the Tri...

Re: Beinn a' Chuallaich B847 – No Parking

Perhaps the no parking signs are a relic from all the heavy traffic when work was done on the super pylon project?
