Hi I often head off for a walk alone, as the guys have said there are always lots of friendly faces on the hills. This site has some great walks the hard bit is choosing which ones to do, I do agree with the previous posts suggestions, I love Glencoe and sandwood bay is well worth the long drive up ...

I found the local police very helpful when I lost my 4 finger kitkat at the top of Carn Liath (Beinn a'Ghlo), they only recovered 2.5 fingers but I was grateful for small mercies :lol:

I know there are 2 types of the Avon SoS and it's the green one that works to keep the midgies from eating you - I think they like the tase of the other type (pink!). Sorry if it was the green one you used and they still like the taste of you :(
