Torlum

A fine day and relatively easy parking opposite Balloch Cottage. A sign at the start of the forestry track which says no walkers or cyclists was missed until our return. It was immediately obvious why the sign had been installed although there were two signs, one on each side of the road and the one...

Re: Corserine, Millfire, Milldown & Meikle Millyea

A good report and looks like great weather. However the heading suggests that a Graham is included on this round.
There is no Graham on this round

Re: Beinn an Eoin & Maovally fae Invershin rail sta.

Some wonderful pictures but I have no idea where you started from or how you got to the start point. For instance is it possible to drive up to the dam . Is there a locked gate? Did you walk by another route? Mare info wid be useful to other walkers . Although I usually enjoy your website rambles th...

Cruach nan Caorach

Brian and I climbed the hill from the high point of the Otter Ferry road. This had the advantage of beginning the walk at about 300 metres. Found that the tracks shown on my OS map differed from what was on the ground. There is space for one car opposite the forestry track at the high point of the r...

Re: Beinn Leamhainn (The hill of the Wych Elms)

Nice report and pictures . Any other Marilyn baggers should be aware that the trig point is not the summit which is some 300 mtrs away to the west beyond the 2 lochans. Sorry Collaciotach if you were bagging, as opposed to hillwalking.

Kirkland Hill

The hardest part of this walk was finding the road to Old Kirkland from Kirkconnel . There is no signpost and it looks like the entrance to a large house from the main road. Eventually we arrived at Old Kirkland where we left the car. Not sure as to which of the tracks to choose and confused by the ...

Beinn Mheadhonach, Glen Etive

Beinn Mheadhonach, Argyle. Walk commenced from the car park at the foot of Glen Etive and initially followed the ' path ' towards Beinn Trilleachan. From past experience this track is awful at the best of times but today , following yesterdays rain, it was a hellish combination of puddles, mud, knee...

Todun, Harris

Low cloud at start of walk but it seemed to lift with us as we walked up the hill. At the summit the cloud cleared completely and we had fabulous 360 degree visibility which made the day so much more enjoyable.
Started from the car park area to the NE of the hill and returned to the same to our car.

Drummond Hill

The club walk was to Glen Lyon so I was looking to get a tick if I could. A quick check of the Marshalls list and the internet showed that Drummond hill would be possible. It is a hill I had looked at many times and wondered how it could be done . Fortunately Irene and John were willing to join me o...

Well Hill

A short day was required so a bit of research came up with Well Hill down by Durisdeer, a nice wee village with an attractive church ( which does lovely cakes and coffee when available ). Parked the car by the church and set off up the glen by the Kirk burn. At the highest point at about 410 mtrs st...

Stob Mhic Beathain

At last. On Saturday 16 April I climbed Stob Mhic Bheathain from Callop. The weather was dry but overcast with a hint of rain occasionally. I left the car at Callop at 9.25 and returned at 6.00pm. Considering this was my first real walk after suffering from a virus for 10 weeks I was very pleased to...

An Stac, the Graham

Hi All, I have just joined your site ,which I am enjoying very much, and would like some assistance/advice from your experienced members. I am investigating whether it is possible to climb the Graham, An Stac (by Loch Morar ), by way of Glen Pean as a day walk. Are there any particular problems/diff...
