Cycling to Tom Bailgeann again

Sub 2k Marilyns: Tom Bailgeann. Date: 10/02/2021. Distance: 3 km. Ascent: 220m. Time: 1 hour, 30 minutes. Weather: Still, sunny and very cooooold! Grahams: Carn na h-Easgainn. Date: 09/02/2021. Distance: 6 km. Ascent: 310m. Time: 2 hours, 10 minutes. Weather: Cold, sunny. Local weekend walks: Drumashie Moor and Cawdor Estate

End of January in sight - finally a bit more daylight, and continued good weather and snow. With the snow conditions on the higher hills best described as 'deep and soft', we didn't feel the need to drive anywhere much this weekend. On Saturday, we walked straight from the house. Saturday 30th Jan: ...

Re: What CAN you do on a hill near CANnich?

That looked spectacular - so much snow just now 8) .

Jackie needs to add this to the list of Grahams she's not bagging, but I don't think we'll make it up there until there is much less snow than that!

Re: Return to The Stake

Good effort - making the most of the local hills for sure 8) . I suppose we should attempt something similar on a local hill but the warmth of the house is just too hard to leave at the moment  . One day I will persuade Jackie that we need to go up Hill of Stake again. Might be a few years befo...

Re: Against all odds

That made a fairly straightforward hill look suitably epic! I hadn't given much thought to approaching by that track before - maybe not a bad idea for a future local(ish) walk though. Hope your knee recovers quickly :) .
