The council have made the Schiehallion road a clearway, so no roadside parking within a couple of miles of Braes of Foss. Get there early if you want a space in the car park!

Hi, having done both of these paths in the last couple of years, let me reassure you that there is nothing on the Loch Lomond- side path that compares to the rock step on the coast path (and I'm nearly 60 and no mountain goat!)

Lochy holiday park is a good place to start. I've stayed there a couple of times and its a nice site beside the river Lochy with a good view of the Ben. Friendly staff too. Its about a mile from Neptunes staircase on the canal.
