stalking can take place at any time depending on the stalkers "permissions" they vary greatly and its a complicated business--they did well to warn folks

for me--ferry from aberdeen--hire small car in lerwick--there is much to see--- for geology orkney has much more--both sets of islanders are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet--photographic oppertunities are amazing--and round every corner---local traditional dishes are amazing--no go...

corrour

possibly old news to some/many???? the station house re-opens on march 19 this year,now run by the estate

loch ossian youth hostel planning to install electricity/showers/electric cooker in the forseeable future

the signal box at corrour possibly turned into accomodation (again)

otter skins used to fetch very good prices i recall, around 1958. as you say horrendous to skin and scrape,and virtually no meat.

i dont recall investigating the intestines for liver heart or kidneys,probably given to the dogs

met a few "rescued" people in my time,yet to meet one that wasnt regretful embarrased grateful,must say not all from "on the hill situations" though

So rabbit roast was for dinner almost every Sunday... I guess hare tastes very similar? No, hare is more dark, rich and gamey, like venison.
