Having read your report I think I may have seen you in the distance . Here is a short video of an alternative walk that I was doing that day..takes in Craig Leith and Bengengie before turning...

Re: Lead and safety suggestions for 3 dogs?

Im guilty m’lud Yup I used to deal in drugs .. (well not quite .. I worked in the prescription side of a chemist shop many years ago. ) I also spent a couple of years terrorising the local inhabitants of the Galloway Hills with my ferocious Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Re: Bottlenose Dolphins

They put their trust in me Mal ..so I was happy to trust them. Its much like walking beside big highland coos  You have to keep an eye on them to ensure that they are not getting scared or aggressive though .. slow steady movements and they are fine You can see how placid they were in this shor...

Bottlenose Dolphins

Last weekend I was enjoying my small boat in the Sound of Arisaig. I was minding my own business .. quiety puttering around the coast on the lovely spring day. Unfortunately the peace didn’t last long. A pod of bottlenose dolphins arrived and started harassing me. My brother was in a kayak and took ...

Re: CMD doable on Sunday?

I'm thinking of walking to the shops for some bacon this morning, could I have 1000 words on the dangers of crossing the road, cholesterol etc? Thanks. I guess if you have ever spent an hour of your life with a seriously injured climber you never met before .. trying to comfort him as he dies. Or r...

Re: Drones

Hi again 147cjl Yes..I agree .. you have to be very careful throwing stones at anything never mind drones. Of course there are many ways to throw stones at drones.. and it can be metaphorically as well as physically . In my case with the kayaks..it was across physically across water..so I knew no on...

Re: Drones

Hi 147cjl ... It was me who threw the stones at the drone which was hovering 10 feet above our heads and which was following us. I have proved photographic evidence of that and as such find your comment equally bizarre as quoting“ number 5” which states no one is interested in what we were doing. Th...

Re: Drones

A bit like letting your leg flail when you are on your bike - the car was far too close and deserved a denting :) You wouldn't do that ..would you ? I thought I was the only one who though that way  Although I do recall coming a cropper when I once drew my foot back to lash out ...

Re: Drones

Personally ... I have no issues with drones..they are only lumps of plastic etc.. however I do have very strong issues with the dummies that annoy or endanger lives of strangers to get their wonderful movies for U Tube. One example of several that annoyed me last year .. was the idiot who thought it...

Re: Crampons and Anti-Balling plates

An occasional clack with the shaft of the axe can remove any build up of snow or I have sometimes wound on some gaffer tape that I have also used on other crampons before the anti balling plates became supplied. Yup.. old timers know that a quick hit with the ice axe as you walk .. clears the snow....
