Hoe and Waterstein head, Duirinish, Isle of Skye

I walked a slight variation on your route for this walk today. I was bound by time constraints (open day at the primary school), and so cut out the bottom end of the Hoe itself. Macleods Maidens walk , Duirinish area, Isle of Skye

walked this route in the blazing sunshine a couple of weeks back. It is an excellent flat walk which has beautiful view at the start- towards greep. near the end- excellent view to Cuillins and at the destination the maidens themselves. I may try the Ramasaig-Orbost walk next time out, unless anyone...

great site. I've done a load of the walks detailed in the Dunvegan area and the descriptions and directions are excellent. I've been trawling the lists for my next walk and am hoping the weather holds 'til Tuesday.

walking in trainers

I am a fairly inexperienced walker. I know being prepared is essential, but i've always found walking much more enjoyable in trainers. I feel more comfortable and more nimble in them. I've made my way though about half of the walks on the Durinish page (in trainers) and was wondering if anyone could...
