Inverness Hill Walking buddies sought

Hiya
I'm looking for hill walking buddies. I am based in Inverness, walk at moderate pace mainly on Sundays and sometimes Saturdays and I've just done the winter skills at Cairngorms. You can pm me if you up and about.

Today the weather forecast was not the greatest so I decided to go for a shorter solo hike up Beinn Ghlas and Ben Lawyers. The path was clear and well maintained. Walking ice axe recommendations

I'm looking for ice axe recommendations as this year I am hoping to start the winter walks. It is going to be just hiking not ice climbing haha. I also have a question about the lenght. Is it measured from the thumb up to one inch above the ankle as I saw that on some mountain advice video. Thank you.

garmin gps manual questions

I have 2 questions on garmin oregon 750 gps. I have never used that kind of electronic equipment before so most likely i am asking obvious stuff: 1. when i downloaded my route using base camp web side to the gps and want to view it on the map it somehow shows a lot of lines like if it wanted to join...

Thank you for the information. Can you tell me how to do that. I have the basecamp on my pc but cant find how to import the waypoints from walking highlands... its my first gps and i am still finding my way how to use it. thanks again
