Badger

Took a walk out to Abyssinia Bothy in Glen Kinglas, came across this badger on the way back out. Walked past really close before it noticed me and scurried off.

Re: a very short unimaginable walk

Amazing pictures of what we're led to believe are not that favourable to our atmosphere. Saw clouds like this only once before, 12 years ago up Glen Dochart way. I did however spot a strange no rain rainbow on boxing day.

Locked out of the Spar

Having just done 5 Munros in 3 days, I was looking for a more relaxing, but still adventurous day on the next leg of my summer sojourn.Unlike the day before when I had glorious weather on the 5 Sisters, it was to be a bit miserable. Staying at Ratagan Youth Hostel, I got up really early and slunk ou...

Re: A big day on a "wee hill".

Well done Nathan. Don't think I could manage a 27km walk just now, especially after a night in the bothy. Still a part of the world I've to explore properly

A tough old slog

Spending a long weekend with Leianne in an AirBnB on the South Loch Rannoch road I took the opportunity to get a wee Corbett in. Beinn a Chuallaich was not far away and after studying the weather I chose Sunday to do it with the promise of less wind than was forecast for Saturday, which turned out b...

Trainspotting (apologies to Irvine)

Choose life, choose a cheeky wee afternoon off, choose packing your gear and getting on a train to the middle of nowhere and sleeping on top of a mountain. Choose the right platform, choose talking to a couple of other like minded people, choose the right train. I didn't choose the right train, I cho...

Re: Conquering my obsesion

Well done on doing this own your own.
Did it myself this year with a group.
Your report brought it all back as basically felt the same emotions on the day. It is some buzz when you realize all the hard sections are done
