Re: Blaeloch Hill

This constitutes my 'local' hill. A bit boggy off the wind farm track, but nice views to Arran. I quite like it as part of longer days incorporating hills in the country park, starting from Largs or Lochwinnoch.

Re: Remote Grahams, Bothy Nights

Nice looking hills these. Still to do either of them, so hopefully will get to them sometime this year.

Re: Kids surpassed the 20 km mark at relatively remote Graha

I always follow your reports with interest. It's great to see you all out as a family and enjoying the hills. On a slightly selfish note though I always appreciate that you indicate parking options, often with a photo to boot. It might just be me, but finding somewhere to park where I don't think I'...

Re: Sgorr Mor and corbet Sgùrr an Fhuarain and a wee bit ext

It took me two attempts to bag that Munro, given the tough going in Glen Kingie. Decided in the end to make it my compleation Munro. Rather regret not bagging the Corbett with the long name when I was there as well, but would have made it too long a day at the time.

Good luck with your final two.

Re: The Aonach Eagach at last.

Well done on getting the ridge done. For me I think the descent off Am Bodach was the worst part of the route .....and it's not even part of the AE ridge 🤣

Re: Roll Away the Stone (Shoop Shoop)

Another epic weekend for you both and great hills in great weather. We spotted a lone figure coming down and stopped to chat. He looked the spitting image of PeteR from here, but I'm not the best at recognising faces. He, like we, was surprised to see anyone else on this hill. If it was you, Pete, a...

Re: Of Map Accuracy and Natural Phlebotomy

Was up Dun Leacainn on Sunday in the mist and rain. Took a soggy route up over the left overs from tree felling and came down the way you went up. Given me a thought for Beinn Ghlas though, as parking on the main road for that one doesn't look ideal. A perhaps longer route round the back looks a goo...

Re: Where do you go to my lovely

I'm very jealous. Jura is on my 2023 wish list, as I really want to bag the Corbetts over there. Looks superb, if tough on the scree. Hope I make it over there eventually....

Re: A bit of Donald Topping

Nice one Martin. Good to see you dedicating some time to the Donald Tops

You should start looking at the Grahams/Fionas. Some great, remote walking, often with very few fellow walkers about

Re: Burach and a high/low Great Glen Way circular

I was looking at this hill as a possible Sunday short, given the forecast that day looks less than ideal.

Re: New maps on Walkhighlands

Think I might have cried if the GPS planner had gone. I'm glad it lives on though, as it's certainly a resource I use frequently.

Re: Kingshouse to Rannoch station

I was up A'Chruach on Monday and decended off the side alongside the Allt Riabhach Mor to pick pick up the track I think you are talking about........but it wasn't there  There was a boggy path under the telegraph poles though, which I followed back in the direction to Kingshouse - hitting the ...
